As one of the four ‘Power Houses’ of North Norfolk, along with Houghton Hall, Holkham Hall (built by the Coke family) and the Townshends at East Raynham, it is an extraordinary venue. Wolterton Hall offer just 6 exclusive wedding celebrations each year for those looking for the ultimate wedding venue in North Norfolk.
The hall stands facing south overlooking the stunning park designed by Charles Bridgeman in the 18th century, with its 10 acre lake and 500 acres of fields and woodland. The State rooms all have original marble fireplaces carved by Richard Fisher of York, as well as intricately moulded cornices and ceilings that are simply breath-taking. The American walnut for all the doors was a gift from Queen Caroline to Horatio.
Smaller weddings for up to 30 can be accommodated in the East Wing, parties of up to 80 can enjoy a seated meal in the Saloon in the Main Hall, or you can choose to hire a marquee for a beautiful outside celebration for a larger number of guests. The blend of parkland, woodland, and water, as well as the magnificent hall are truly remarkable. There is unlimited car parking for your guests and an excellent landing area for helicopters.
